SIBOS 2019 – “THRIVING IN A HYPER-CONNECTED WORLD”

CODIX TOOK PART IN SIBOS 2019, EXCEL LONDON

CODIX was an exhibitor at Sibos 2019, the world’s premier financial services event. This year Sibos took place in London from 23 to 26 September. For one week, 9000 business leaders, decision makers and topic experts, 600 speakers, 200+ exhibitors and 100+ fintechs descended on ExCeL London to discuss the future of the financial world.

The international event was attended by Laurent Tabouelle, C.O.O. of CODIX Group, and Yoana Miltenova, Business Expert at CODIX.

The Sibos 2019 conference Agenda centered on the theme “Thriving in a hyper-connected world”, recognizing the challenges and opportunities that mass digitization and data-driven relationships present for the Sibos community. Sibos 2019 explored the impact of new technologies on infrastructures, value propositions and business models and identified the culture, skills and working practices that organizations need to maximize the potential of both human and machine capabilities. Speakers focused on the ability of financial services providers to identify, develop and strengthen the right connections and what is required to succeed in a hyper-connected world.

Organizations face new challenges constraining their ambitions, including a changing competitive landscape, unpredictable geo-political pressures, increasing regulation and technological change, and fast-moving information security threats. Successful businesses are those that cultivate connections through a combination of humans and machines, with data serving as the lifeblood that drives growth, informs decisions and strengthens connections.

Sibos 2019 also had five sub-themes, including enhancing digital ecosystems, examining how banks and market infrastructures can leverage new technologies such as APIs, DLT and AI to offer better banking services to meet customer demands. The conference explored how the industry leverages data to uncover new connections, enhance efficiencies and improve customer service and value, while keeping ahead of cybersecurity threats. How can organizations ensure their business models have the flexibility to account for unpredictable geopolitical dynamics and the changing practices of regulators, including greater use of compliance technology?

This was just part of the rich conference content. Top-quality networking encouraged critical dialogue and the exchange of new ideas to shape the future of financial services.
