46th GENERAL ASSEMBLY AEF – SANTANDER

CODIX IS A PATRON OF THE SPANISH FACTORING ASSOCIATION GATHERING IN SANTANDER, SPAIN

CODIX will serve as a patron for the 46th General Assembly of the Spanish Factoring Association (AEF). This year the conference will take place in Santander, at the Eurostars Hotel Royal, on May 9 and 10.

The Spanish Factoring Association currently unites 26 entities operating in the Factoring and Confirming sector, comprising both financial institutions (including credit institutions and commercial entities) and suppliers of goods and services associated with the sector. This collective represents the majority of specialists within the factoring industry in Spain. In 2023, the Association's members facilitated transfers totaling €270 billion, marking a 6% growth compared to the previous year and accounting for 18.5% of the GDP.

AEF organizes an annual General Assembly which features a range of events, including technical sessions addressing pertinent sector issues and social gatherings. The agenda of this year’s conference envisages the following issues to be discussed:

• Factoring and Confirming: a view from the users' perspective – payment terms in commercial credits (new regulation);
• A vision on the macro keys of the current situation of the economy;
• The electronic invoice: most relevant changes and possible impact on the commercial financing sector;
• Sustainability: a vision applied to F&C services.
